Gorodenka (Horodenka) Tourist Map 2008

A detailed street map of the city of Horodenka (Horodenke, האָראָדענקע) southeast of Ivano-Frankivsk in western Ukraine, with a symbol key identifying several types of city services and cultural heritage, and a street index keyed to the map grid. An inset shows the district surrounding the city, with schematic representations of many nearby settlements. Few cultural sites are included in the numbered lists, but one of the two listed architectural monuments is the 18th/19th-century Great Synagogue. A Christian cemetery is shown on the map, but neither the old Jewish cemetery nor the new Jewish cemetery is shown. Numerous links to web pages and sites about the Jewish history of the city are found in the Wikipedia article on Horodenka. The reverse side of this map, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, gives an extended history of the city and region together with a large number of images and descriptions of local cultural sites.
