Zhmerinka (Zhmerynka) Tourist Map 2009

A detailed street map of the city of Zhmerynka near Vinnytsia in central Ukraine, with a list of more than 300 streets indexed to the map grid, a symbol key identifying 75 types of architectural and cultural heritage, and a useful road map of the former Zhmerynka district. Marked in the heritage list and on the map with a Star of David, the active Great Synagogue is shown near the town center, but the Butcher's synagogue across the street is not marked as active, nor is a former synagogue around the corner marked as architectural heritage. The still-functioning Zhmerynka Jewish cemetery is shown as part of a large complex of municipal cemeteries, marked with crosses. The reverse side of this map, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, presents historical essays on the city and region in Ukrainian along with color photos of significant local heritage sites.
