A detailed street map of the city of Volodymyr (previously known as Volodymyr-Volynskyi) in northwestern Ukraine near the border with Poland, with a list of more than 200 streets indexed to the map grid, a symbol key identifying 80 types of architectural and cultural heritage, an inset with a high-scale map of the city center, and a useful road map of the former Volynskiy district. On the map, the destroyed Jewish cemetery is unmarked and shown as a park. Among the symbols on the map, a former kahal building is shown as an architectural monument (No. 2, now a cinema), and a memorial marker (No. 4) dedicated to the victims of Fascism (mostly Jews) during WWII is placed at the site of former concentration camp on the western edge of the city. The map predates the installation of a significant Holocaust memorial near the center of town. The reverse side of this map, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, presents historical essays on the city and region in Ukrainian along with color photos of significant local heritage sites.
