Terebovlya (Terebovlia, Trembowla) History and Cultural Sites 2006

A series of color images and a brief essay in Ukrainian and English languages describing the history and cultural features of the city of Terebovlia (טרעבעוולע) south of Ternopil in western Ukraine. The historical section focuses primarily on the local castle, with no discussion of the city's 20th century history or of the large prewar Jewish community. Further essays cover the historical importance of the nearby settlements of Mykulyntsi, Zazdrist, and Zarvanytsia. The front side of this map, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, includes a detailed street map of Terebovlia and a useful road map of the former Terebovlia district.
