A series of color images and brief essays in Ukrainian describing the environment and history of the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi on the bank of the Dniester River in the historical Podolia (Podillia) region in southwestern Ukraine. The historical section spans from the city's role as a river port during the time of the Kyivan Rus' and highlights the significance of the river and the city as a border (now with Moldova). The Jewish community of Mohyliv-Podilskyi is briefly mentioned among other ethnic groups from the 17th century and then again in the ghettoes and mass killings during the Romanian and German occupation of WWII.
