Khmelnik (Khmilnyk) History and Cultural Sites 2010

A series of color images and brief essays in Ukrainian and English languages describing the environment and history of the city of Khmilnyk near Vinnytsia in west-central Ukraine. The historical section includes mention of the city's large Jewish population from the 16th century, making up the majority of the population, and the devastation of the WWII ghetto and mass killings; a photo of a monument at the memorial park to the victims is also included. Half of the text is devoted to medical treatments available at Khmilnyk's large medical spa. The front side of this brochure, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, includes a detailed street map of Khmilnyk.
