A large and detailed multi-color road map in Ukrainian of the Volyn region (oblast) bordering Belarus and Poland in northwest Ukraine, published by Kartografiia of Kyiv. The oblast is part of the historical region of Volhynia, together with the Rivne oblast and parts of other nearby oblasts. Major and minor roads plus the key rail lines and waterways connecting cities in the region and beyond are indicated. Also given is a table of driving distances between the oblast's major cities, plus a map legend in Ukrainian and English identifying with symbols, colors, and line types a large number of map features, including settlements in three ranked sizes; borders, road types and transit points; tourist information and service points; and points of nature interest. The map spans to the second side of the brochure, which covers the southern part of the oblast bordering the Lviv oblast, and includes an index to more than 1000 settlements with a key to their locations within the grid on this map, as well as simplified street maps of the administrative center city of Lutsk and the next-largest city of Kovel.
