The reverse side of a road map of the Kirovohrad region (oblast) south of Kyiv in central Ukraine, published by Kartografiia of Kyiv, which continues to this side. Also spanning both sides of the brochure is an index to nearly 1000 settlements with a key to their locations within the grid on this map. Major and minor roads plus the key rail lines and waterways connecting cities in the region and beyond are indicated. A table of driving distances between the oblast's major cities appears on the front side, as does a map legend in Ukrainian and English identifying with symbols, colors, and line types a large number of map features, including settlements in three ranked sizes; borders, road types and transit points; tourist information and service points; and points of nature interest. A simplified street map of the administrative center city of Kropyvnytskyi (which has had many names, and is an alternate name for the oblast) appears here as well; the Great Choral Synagogue is not marked.
