A large and detailed multi-color road map in Ukrainian of the Kyiv region (oblast) bordering Russia in north-central Ukraine, published by the Ukrainian Cartographic Group of Kyiv. The map spans to the second side of the brochure, which also includes an index to more than 1000 settlements with a key to their locations within the grid on this map. Major and minor roads plus the key rail lines and waterways connecting cities in the region and beyond are indicated. A map legend identifies with symbols, colors, and line types a large number of map features, including settlements in seven ranked sizes; borders, road types and transit points; tourist information and service points; and types of land use. An inset shows a simplified street map of the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv, which is marked with a number of tourist sites, including the Babyn Yar WWII massacres memorial complex.
