The reverse side of a road map of the Kyiv region (oblast) bordering Russia in north-central Ukraine, published by the Ukrainian Cartographic Group of Kyiv, which continues to this side. Major and minor roads plus the key rail lines and waterways connecting cities in the region and beyond are indicated. Also included here is an index to more than 1000 settlements in the oblast with a key to their locations within the grid on the oblast map. A map legend appears on the front side identifying with symbols, colors, and line types a large number of map features, including settlements in three ranked sizes; borders, road types and transit points; tourist information and service points; and types of land use. An inset here shows a simplified street map of Bila Tserkva, the largest city in the oblast outside of Kyiv.
