A large and detailed multi-color road map in Russian of the Polotsk district (raion) in northern Belarus, published by Belkartografia in 2018. The district surrounds the town of Polotsk (also Polatsk, and פּאָלאָצק in Yiddish), which is the administrative center within the Vitebsk region (oblast); to the northeast, the district borders Russia. A large number of regional features are defined in a map legend with symbols, colors, and line types, identifying: borders, road types and transit points; travel, tourism and entertainment facilities; significant landscape features; and historical and cultural sites and monuments. An index of nearly 400 cities, towns and large villages in the district is keyed to the map grid, and five proposed tourist driving routes are shown in colored lines. One man-made and one natural feature of the district are highlighted with captioned photographs.
