A multi-color town plan and street map of Białystok, the largest city in northeastern Poland, from 1994. Known as Byalistok (ביאַליסטאָק) in Yiddish, the population of the city was more than 40% Jewish in 1936. The map highlights and labels the neighborhoods and nearly 700 major streets, which are also listed and keyed in an index on the reverse side of the map. Also included is a legend in the Polish language to relate symbols to civic services and colors to feature types; Białystok's one surviving Jewish cemetery (in the Bagnówka neighborhood northeast of the city center) is colored red but not labeled.
