NEW REPOSITORIES ADDED TO THE DATABASE
•	Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People Hebrew University, Jerusalem The Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People (CAHJP) has microfilmed extensive collections from about 15 archives in Poland and several more in Austria and the former Soviet Union, which represent a small portion of the holdings in the countries where they worked. From the CAHJP collection, database entries on this website represent more than 1,000 towns and villages in present-day Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania. The time period covers the 14th century to the 20th century. These documents were created primarily by the non-Jewish authorities under whose rule the Jews lived. The database entries usually show the original source of the material (for example: an entry for tax lists for the town of Augustow will show the source as: MICROFILM; ORIGINAL SOURCE: AGAD, WARSZAWA, SSKP. Database entries from this collection are being added to this website continually. Therefore, it is suggested that you check this website from time to time.
•	United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Washington, DC Among the many collections of archive documents at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) is a collection entitled “Extraordinary State Commission to Investigate German-Fascist Crimes Committed on Soviet Territory.” The Routes to Roots Foundation is in the process of adding entries to the ARCHIVE DATABASE on this website from this valuable collection and will continue to do so. Therefore, it is suggested that you check this website from time to time. Staff members at the USHMM advise that their database is being enhanced and expanded with new information being added on an on-going basis.
